It's not just a wedding — it's a weekend! A big,

joyful gathering of friends in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains (where Sara grew up).

WHERE?

Montfair Resort Farm in Crozet, VA

WHEN?

SEPTEMBER 25–27, 2020

Our wedding ceremony will be held at 10:30am

on the morning of SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27.

But! Beginning at 4pm on Friday, we'll have a weekend of friends, food, and festivities leading up to the Big Celebration (though it's all the big celebration, really).

TRAVEL

Montfair—a relaxed and beautiful eco-friendly farm that takes up 129 acres of woods, fields, streams, and lakes in rural Virginia—is located at 2500 Bezaleel Drive in Crozet, about a 30-minute drive from Charlottesville. If you're flying, the closest airport is CharlottesvilleIf you're train-ing, Charlottesville's also got a busy Amtrak station. Lyft and Uber are available in the area, and we'll collect and disseminate information on possible carpools.

There's plenty of parking on site at Montfair.

LODGING

Montfair has 9 furnished lake-side cabins (complete with AC, small kitchens, etc.) that we've rented out for the weekend, and we're excited to be able to house most of our guests in these, right on premises — we'll let you know if we're able to put you up in one of the cabins!

Unfortunately, we can't house quite everyone, but we highly recommend local AirBnBs, the Inn At Sugar Hollow Farm, and the Inn at Stinson Vineyards. If you're bringing a car, Charlottesville is also packed with places to stay, as is Waynesboro to the west (about a 33-minute drive to Montfair, and a touch cheaper than C-Ville).

For the adventurous, Montfair also encourages camping on site — so if you wanna bring a tent and make an outdoor extravaganza of it, go for it!

ORDER OF EVENTS

A rough schedule of the weekend's shenanigans...

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

4pm – Arrivals, Hellos, Hang-Outs, Drinks (And setting up house if you're one of the cabin-dwellers)

7pm-ish Onward – Dinner w/ Intros & Some (very little) Speech-Making, More Hang-Outs, More Drinks! (Dinner will be a casual queso-guac-and-taco-bar affair). Open bar, campfires, late night revelry!

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25

Evening (8ish) — Pizza! More beers. A chill meal with more campfires (smores?), more hang-outs, and an early-ish night before the morning festivities.

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

8am – Coffee & Tea & Get-Ready Time

10:30am – Ceremony! By the lake.

11am to 1pm – Semi-Potluck Wedding Picnic Lunch! We'll have mains, and if you can bring a side or dessert (or make one in the big communal Montfair kitchen on Saturday), that's rad!

1pm – Farewells!*

(*If you're staying in the cabins and you'd like to stay through Sunday night too, just let us know!)
