we met on November 27, 2017, and got engaged on December 4, 2017

(the east village was glorious that night)

and we're getting married on September 27, 2020!

Sara directs plays

Beau writes fiction

Sara is also an author (self-published)

and from 2017-2019 she was the theater critic for New York Magazine and Vulture.com

Sara wrote about 220 theater reviews for Vulture & New York Mag! (so. many. coffee. shops.)

and, beyond the novel, Beau's written a lot of short stories.

Sara is a member of a viscious gang

Beau's gang is somewhat less vicious. . . and also harder to gather into one place.

Sara is also the Artistic Director of Shakespeare Academy @ Stratford in Stratford, CT

where she sometimes builds 8-person bear puppets

Beau's traveled a lot — he's been to 28 countries (including Peru w/ Sasha)

but his favorites are probably Nicaragua (where he wrote half his first novel, which no one will ever read)

and Thailand, where he was in the Peace Corps from 2009 - 2011

but also the US — there's some crazy beautiful places here, too.

sometimes Sara is a country bear

sometimes she's a city bear (this was the night we got engaged!)

she's always been a bear!

she grew up in Virginia, and sometimes wore pink shorts and investigated bell peppers in her grandfather's garden

she's done a whole lot of theater, and even some with her parents! (Sara's Dad directed this Twelfth Night in 2007, where she played Viola and her Mom designed the costumes)

and in 2015, Sara visited Moscow and St. Petersburg (but mostly Anton)

Beau grew up mostly in Mississippi (around a lot of Australian Shephards)

and worked for Obama in 2008

and once he was briefly a Buddhist monk

he can clean up when he has to — like at Aaron & Katie's wedding

although when he doesn't have to...

and he plays guitar, and when he plays with Rhea they're called the Sudden Bus Adventure!
